Our salmon dinner is an event you don’t want to miss!

After the challenges of two years of COVID-19 restrictions, St. F. X. has moved their Homecoming to the Oct. 14-16 weekend bumping us from our traditional date. After a lot of discussion the ARA Dinner Committee has decided to keep the same venue and instead change the weekend.
We hope to make this weekend a spectacular kick-off to the best month of fall Atlantic Salmon fishing. More details will follow on tickets, related events and activities so please book that date for a weekend of fishing, friends, food, fundraising and fun.

The Antigonish Rivers Association is a partner with the St. Mary’s River Association in hosting (every second year) a major fund raising dinner and auction.

This event goes back more than 10 years when it began as part of the Nova Scotia Salmon Association Fall Meeting. The beautiful Fall foliage and terrific salmon fishing means that anglers from across the province and beyond gather in Antigonish County providing a wonderful opportunity to support local organizations dedicated to protecting and enhancing this great fishery. The dinner has evolved as stand-alone event featuring a full three course meal, silent auctions, raffles, after-dinner auction and musical entertainment.

Our most recent dinner in 2019 has expanded in size and added an international fly tying exposition. The dinner owes it success to the generosity of local sponsors and donors, the anglers who attend and bid, and to a hardworking group of volunteers.
