Dr. Hannah Harrison Presents: How Hatchery Programs Impact Atlantic Salmon Conservation Communities

May 22 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Dalhousie researcher Hannah Harrison (www.hannahharrison.ca) and master’s student Katherine Dalby will be sharing their research on the social dimensions of hatchery and stocking programs in Nova Scotia. Join us for a talk about Atlantic salmon conservation and the sometimes-controversial world of conservation hatchery and stocking programs, and learn what recent research is learning about Nova Scotia’s stocking communities! This is an all-ages talk, though will likely be most interesting for ages 16+. Anyone interested in Atlantic salmon conservation and hatcheries is welcome. The talk will be held in English.
