ARA will be partnering with Neil Holding, an FFF certified fly-casting instructor for single handed and double handed rods and the Guideline representative for Eastern Canada to host the second women’s fly casting clinic in Antigonish this Fall!

This event will be similar to a workshop where the instructors will review some basics about fly casting and the participants will practice their casting techniques in the open field. This clinic is open to all levels and will be a beginner friendly space with instructors who can adjust their techniques for anglers who are at higher skill levels. The ARA will be able to provide several rod and reel combos for any beginners looking to try it out before making a purchase, but please let us know when you register that you will need equipment – there is limited stock. All other participants must bring their rod and reel setup with them if they want to get some practice in with the instructors.

Although the event is free, we would appreciate participants register with Allison White at allisonwhite.ara@gmail.com so we have an idea of the number of folks interested in attending. The location for the event will be the Lower South River Ball Field/Truck and Tractor Pulls. There is plenty of room for parking and casting practice in the open field.
